After it had been delayed several times, “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” is finally only a few months away. The fourth installment of the franchise was released six years ago, and it was immediately after its launch that the filmmakers started working on the following title, but, due to certain issues with the script, it took them longer than planned to finish the project. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 26, 2017, but while waiting for the release date, you can watch the official trailer and get a sneak peek at what the fifth installment will look like and which characters will make an appearance.

In case you don’t remember, some of the original team members whom we met at the very beginning in “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” (2003) did not show up in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” (the fourth title). And these aren’t just any characters, but two of the main ones: Will Turner (portrayed by Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swan (played by Keira Knightly). Johnny Depp, of course, made his appearance in the iconic role of Jack Sparrow in all four movies and he will be there for the fifth one, as well. Well, let’s be honest, you can’t imagine anyone else playing the great pirate, can you?

Now that the trailer has been released, we can see that Orlando Bloom will come back for the upcoming movie, and yes, he will take on his old role of Will Turner, but we can’t help but notice that he looks somewhat different. We’ll probably have to wait for the film to see the reason for such noticeable change. What the trailer does not reveal is whether Elizabeth Swan will make a comeback, too.

Several new actors will also join the (in)complete original crew, including Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar, Brenton Thwaites as Henry, as well as young Kaya Scodelario in the role of Carina Smyth, etc. All in all, make sure you don’t miss the movie release in May and in the meantime, follow us for more news and details.
