If it is your job to take photos of half-naked models including Charlotte McKinney, Francesca Eastwood, and Camila Morrone, you would be among the few fortunate photographers that work with some of the world’s most beautiful women.
However, most people do not realize that famed photographer, Robert Voltaire, is one of the lensmen responsible for the rise of multiple celebrities and Instagram stars.
The LA-born native found photography accidentally.
“It was a few days before Christmas and my girlfriend at the time asked me what I wanted for a gift. I said something electronic. She gave me a camera. The following day I went out and photographed a friend that wanted to model. I handed her the role of film and, she was immediately signed by Ford Model Management. A few days later they called me up and asked me if I would be interested in photographing their models.”
That simple purchase has led to a spectacular body of work. He has made appearances on multiple reality tv shows including America’s Next Top Model and VH1’s Model Employee and his work can be found in the pages of Vogue, Vanity Fair, Esquire, GQ, and Playboy. He is also the author of the #1 bestselling book Photography Marketing Masterclass.
But more importantly, Robert Voltaire has the job of taking pictures of hot models every day and the talent to get paid for it.” But don’t take our word for it. Check out some of these famous beauties he has posted on his Instagram page:
One of his favorite models to collaborate with is @RachelCook and she appears to be a muse as she is in dozens of posts all over both of their social media accounts.
“When Rachel and I first started shooting she had about fifteen thousand followers. Shortly after, we shot Treats Magazine. After that cover came out she was gaining about 100k followers per month.
In addition to the Treats cover, we found a few covers of Rachel Cook featured in Playboy Mexico.
It seems that one of the perks of being a fashion photographer may be to date the models. Although we found no clear information about whether or not they are a couple a quick internet search led us to discover the following pictures, which alludes to at minimum a very close friendship.
Here they are posed together at Disneyland, “The Happiest Place On Earth.”
We asked Robert why does he get his models so scantily clad.
“Two keys to a portrait are simplicity and the subject. I prefer models who are comfortable in their own skin and willing to share their bodies and emotions as great actresses do. Photography is about storytelling and fantasy.”
Clearly, the man has a gift.
