Taking part in the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando a couple of days ago, American golfer Cody Gribble found himself in a rather unusual situation. Namely, in the middle of his round, an alligator appeared on the course, but what came as an even greater surprise is the way the 26-year-old managed to get the animal off the course and back into the water.

While most people would probably decide to call for help and wait for someone else to deal with this dangerous animal, Gribble just casually approached the alligator and grabbed it by its tail in order to ‘shoo’ it away.

After the round, he said to the reporters that he was not at all afraid of the alligator and that he even found it “beautiful” and “incredibly clean.” He also explained that this was not the first time he had come in contact with one, as he loves hunting and fishing, so he had already been in similar situations earlier. “I’ve done it a couple of times before,” the golfer confirmed.

Gobbler even showed surprise that the whole event was recorded and that it was considered newsworthy. He posted on his Twitter “Gators need exercise too, no biggie guys.”

According to the reports, the golfer concluded: “I wasn’t too worried about it at the time. Those guys, I mean, it’s like a jolt, it’s quick, they’re not going to catch you, they’re not going to catch you a couple of steps down. I mean, they’re going to get you really quick early, but I’m not in its way. I’m right behind him. It’s not going to happen.”
