Nokia Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) has come up yet again with a budget device, which also happens to be the slimmest internet phone to date. Nokia 225 is equipped with a 2.8-inch display, and comes preloaded with Nokia’s cloud-powered Xpress Browser, which helps to optimize website data and boost the performance even with slow internet speed.
According to a post on Nokia Conversations, Nokia 225 is “Our slimmest Internet phone to date, it also features a larger 2.8” display making it not only an ideal fit for pockets and handbags, but for also keeping you entertained on the move.”
Preloaded with 5 games
Social media apps like Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) and Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) can be accessed directly on the homescreen. For gamers, Nokia 225 is preloaded with five games; Block Breaker 3, Asphalt 6, Assassins Creed 3, The Avengers and Real Football 2012. The slimmest mobile will be available in both single and dual SIM variants. It comes with 1200mAh battery, which offers up to 21 hours of talk time, and a standby time of 648 hours. According to the Finnish company, the playback time for MP3 is 51 hours.
“When you’re tired from dancing, singing or browsing, the five pre-loaded games; Block Breaker 3, Asphalt 6, Assassins Creed 3, The Avengers and Real Football 2012, can give you some well-earned downtime,” Nokia notes.
Nokia 225 very affordable
Nokia 225 has a two-megapixel camera and comes with MicroSD support of up to 32GB. Nokia will initiate the shipping process, in the second quarter for selected markets. The latest phone will come in five colors; red, yellow, green, black and white, and is expected to cost EUR39 ($54).
Nokia 225 has a 2.8-inch LCD Transmissive display, which includes a QVGA (240×320) resolution and pixel density of 142ppi. Connectivity options for the device include Bluetooth, GPRS and Micro-USB. Nokia 225 weighs 100.6 grams and has dimensions of 124×55.5×10.4mm. Other features of the phone are a digital clock, recorder, calculator, clock, calendar, converter, alarm clock, reminders, phonebook, alarm clock with ringtones, and flashlight.
