This phone manufacturer is just not planning to settle down anytime soon. They recently managed to make, what can only be called as a comeback of the decade with the release of three Android-powered smartphones and a reincarnation of the legendary Nokia 3310 that took the world by storm. But this is nothing for Finland tech company because they plan to launch its flagship smartphone called Nokia 9 and according to reports, it will come jam-packed.
The Nokia Power User released a report stating the pricing of the company’s new flagship and it will be around EUR 749 in European markets, $699 in the U.S. and Rs 44.999 in India, with a note that Indian pricing is the lowest of these three. This new flagship is supposed to come equipped with a Quad HD 5.5 inch OLED display, Snapdragon 835 processor, Adreno 540 GPU, a massive 6 GB of RAM, a 3.800 mAh battery with QuickCharge 4 support, 64/128 GB of internal storage and Android 7.1.2 Nougat straight out of the box.
Imaging potential is very good as it will feature a 22 MP dual lens Carl Zeiss rear camera paired with a 12 MP front one that is supposed to make the best selfies so far. But this was all too little for the iconic manufacturer, and they decided to give us more, and it will come in the form of an Iris Scanner (like the one on recent Samsung Galaxy S8), a fingerprint sensor, IP68 dust and water resistance and “Nokia OZO audio” enhancements.
To show you that Nokia really means business and that they decided to stir up the smartphone market a bit, are the recent announcements regarding company’s work on two more high-end smartphones named the Nokia 8 and Nokia 7. They are both going to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 660 chipset, and they will find their place just below Nokia 9 in the company’s smartphone lineup. The Nokia 7 is, according to early reports, coming with a full HD display while its bigger brother Nokia 8 will host a QuadHD display. Both of these will offer their buyer a metallic unibody design and should run on latest Android Nougat.
But there is one bad news in the sea of good ones we have here. Apparently thanks to the Snapdragon 835 procurement issues the Nokia 9 will not launch as soon as we expected. The more realistic date will be sometime between July and August this year. The reincarnated Nokia 3310, on the other hand, will be introduced globally in April, which is great news for the people who have eagerly expected its return.
