Lego is probably the most famous company that builds brick kits for some of the most desirable and iconic vehicles in history. So far, we have seen the Volkswagen Beetle, Ferrari Enzo, Porsche 918 Spydar and Mini Cooper. They yet need to assemble the Nissan GT-R as well. So, if they didn’t build the car, you can see in the photos, who did?
The car is indeed a Lego version of the popular Nissan GT-R, but Lego is not the producer. It comes from the famous Lego brick builder Firas Abu-Jaber who combined bricks from other sets, and the final result is fantastic. Abu-Jaber said that assembling the iconic GT-R was hard work because he had to find all the pieces which would fit perfectly and sometimes when he thought that a piece would fit, it often wouldn’t.
What one may consider a drudgery, it was an interesting job for Abu-Jaber. The red Technic gear bricks that you can see are taken from the other kits under the Speed Champions line (the vehicles mentioned at the beginning), but it took a lot of time to find the rest of the building blocks for the Nissan GT-R.
The final result is fantastic, and Abu-Jaber pulled off something incredible. The toy-car looks just like the regular model, and you would think that Lego actually offered a kit for the GT-R. Is there something else Abu-Jaber can assemble? Probably yes, just give him a plethora of Lego bricks, and he will put something together. Perhaps a Lego version of the Ford F-150? That would be so awesome.
Do you like the Lego version of the Nissan GT-R? What is the next car you would like to see Abu-Jaber assembling or Lego offering?
