Nissan really treated us well for this year’s Chicago Auto Show (February) by adding all the possible guns and wings to its Rogue as if they were told that zombie apocalypse was nearing. That car presented Nissan’s X-Wing themed version of the famous crossover. Again the Rogue ‘suffered’ modifications for the New York Auto Show and again we were amazed by it.
This Nissan doesn’t even have regular wheels and tires, instead, it has a set of Dominator Tracks which made the most competent Rogue ever. It can overcome almost each and every kind of terrain, if it could fly it would be perfect. These are the measurements of the tracks: 48 inches (122 centimeters) long, 30 inches (76 cm) high, and 15 inches (38 cm) wide. Of course, this change made life hard for engineers since they had to modify the suspension and increase the size of wheel wells so that they could fit these giant new ‘kicks.’
To make things, even spicier, the showcased Rogue was painted in full camo which matched perfectly with the color of tracks. The military yellow tint was also applied to the windows as well as to the headlights. And that isn’t all, the company even implemented an additional set of LED lights on the roof where you will find a gear basket. If someone manages to get stuck somewhere in this beast that basket has useful winches and equipment to ‘unblock’ the Rogue immediately.
Although the exterior looks badass, under the hood we have no noticeable changes. The Trail Warrior features the same four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine which provides 170 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. That power is delivered to the tracks via the standard continuously variable transmission.
This unique Rogue will debut later this week at the New York Auto Show where it will stand by the 370Z Heritage Edition. We’ve also mentioned the X-Wing Rogue, and that model will also be present accompanied by another Rogue that is custom painted to resemble flight suits of the X-Wing pilots.
