Nissan made sure that the whole world knows who they are rooting for when they recently produced a one-off GT-R to the Nashville Predators Foundation.
This vehicle is based on the $109,990 GT-R Premium, and they named it ‘Predzilla.’ Yellow exterior with Nashville Predators graphics is featured, it also features blue wheels, a hefty amount of Nissan badging and a blue back spoiler.
The almighty ‘Predzilla’ runs on a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 engine that makes 565 hp (572 PS) and 467 lb-ft(632 Nm) of torque. The engine is connected to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission that transfers power to the all-wheel-drive system and tarmac.
The vehicle at hand is on the auction so as to raise funds for the Nashville Predators Foundation which supports various local charities. Having started only a few days ago, bidding exceeded $60,500, and if you are interested, you can submit your own bid at www.nissan.gesture.com. The winner of the auction will not only get this monster of a car but will also receive two season tickets for the Predators’ 2017-2018 season. Nashville sure knows how to treat their fans.
Jose Munoz, Nissan North America Chief Performance Officer said in a statement ‘This supercar is dedicated to Nashville and Predators fans all over the world. We hope it raises a lot of awareness and funds for the work of the Predators Foundation.’
So far it did raise a lot of awareness, and the vehicle surely attracted many car aficionados all around the globe. When it comes to the cause at hand this kind of attention surely has a positive effect on the situation.
