John Cena was first scheduled to meet with Samoa Joe at the Wrestlemania 33. Then, the plans were changed, and Joe made his debut on Monday Night Raw instead of Smackdown Live. So, Cena was left without an opponent; he lost his title at the Elimination Chamber and now has been feuding with The Miz.
Nikki Bella and Maryse had their own thing as Maryse got in the way of Bella and Natalya matches, twice. She was hit in the process of them fighting, twice, and then decided to take it all out on Nikki. She was on the receiving end of Maryse’s frustrations as she caused her to lose her match against Natalya. Even The Miz needed to react and stop her from causing more damage.
All of this was followed by The Miz calling out John Cena after causing him to lose the 10-man battle royal that was supposed to determine who is going to be the one that replaces Randy Orton in the main event of Wrestlemania 33.
Multiple reports suggested that John Cena and The Miz will be working a program with their wives. A mixed tag-team match was rumored to be happening at the grandest stage of them all. Now, we have the official confirmation that this match is going to happen. Daniel Bryan was the one to set up the match on this week’s edition of Smackdown Live.
This duel will be the first time that Maryse is going to be in the ring as a wrestler since she made her comeback. It’s going to be interesting to see how will she look in Orlando.
