Nikki Bella had her Wrestlemania moment on Sunday when her long-time boyfriend John Cena proposed to her after they had won their match against The Miz and Maryse. She recently spoke with E! News where she discussed her career and the issues that she has with her back. Bella also talked about whether or not she will step in the ring again.
“Recently I had to get MRIs and CT scans and we realized that I have a slight herniation above where I had surgery, which isn’t good, which means I have to take time off and I have to heal. And hopefully when that heals, if it does, I can get back in the ring,” Nikki said.
Nikki Bella realizes that with the kind of injury that she had, she is never going to be able to wrestle a full schedule. She knew right away that she is going to be a part-timer from now on. In the interview, she also noted that she would like to team up with Brie Bella again when her daughter grows up.
Wrestlemania is the grandest stage of them all. That is what drove Nikki to come back from the injury in the first place. She was thrilled when the writers put her in this storyline with John Cena.
“That’s why it meant so much to me being proposed to in the ring,” Nikki stated. “That’s John and I’s home. It’s where we’ve met. It’s where we’ve grown up. It’s our life, and that’s our family there. So I just hope that I can one day make it back into that ring.”
