8Jack was supposed to have eyes
Disney Studio wanted Jack Skellington to have eyes. Why? Well, at the time it was the conventional wisdom. Especially considering that it was an animated movie. And above all, the eye-less skeleton would be a bit creepy. A cartoon character needs to be relatable and fun, not dreadful and scary. But, Burton persisted in his intention of Jack having empty eye sockets. As things stand right now, that was the right decision.
