New York Knicks had a horrible time in Boston last night. Carmelo Anthony got ejected, then this team fell apart to the point that some players, like Brandon Jennings, had enough. Jennings also had an altercation with officials, and that was sufficient for him to get tossed out. Can they bounce back against the Raptors?
Both of these teams will be playing on the second night of a back-to-back, but the Raptors are coming off a huge win in Charlotte. DeRozan went for more than 30 points yet again as he finished the game with 34. Raptors All-star two-guard was the main reason that they were able to fend off Hornets’ second half surge.
DeRozan is leading the league in scoring and doing it in his own kind of way. He is not shooting threes but is getting to the FT line on a consistent basis. If you don’t play the right kind of defense on him, you’ll get burned. Can the Knicks really restrain him after that horrid night in Boston?
There is nothing that Knicks were able to do to stop a Boston squad that has been struggling in the past week. There is no reason for us to believe that they will be able to hold the team that has been on a roll.
Carmelo Anthony will step up and score a ton of points in this match. But, we also think that DeRozan and Lowry are in for big nights against the Knicks defense. It’s going to be a decent game, but Raptors will pull away late and win it 107:96.
