In the most interesting matchup of the Wild Card Weekend, the New York Giants will be traveling to Green Bay, Wisconsin to face Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. This is probably the toughest matchup to pick, but we are expecting it to be the best duel to watch. Can this Giants defense stop Rodgers and this red-hot Green Bay Packers offense?
New York Giants defense has been arguably the best in the NFL in the second half of the season. That sounds a bit strange since the Giants had one of the worst defenses ever last season, but offseason moves were done right, and New York is no longer leaning on it’s offense to do everything. Well, Eli and company were actually pretty bad on the offensive side of the ball in the past couple of rounds. Now, he needs to go to the cold Lambeau Field and face an improving Packers defense.
On the other hand, Aaron Rodgers is on fire. This offense is clicking on all cylinders. Good old Packers are back, with their quarterback leading the way. It’s going to be interesting to see what can they do against this Giants defense. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers and those guys are ready on Packers defense. They are finally healthy, at the right time of the year, but they will have their hands full with Odell Beckham Jr.
The weather will be a big factor in this game. It’s going to be cold that’s for sure, but we don’t know just how much. We don’t expect the cold to affect Aaron Rodgers as he is used to it. But, Eli’s already struggling offense could have some big problems in those conditions.
Unless Odell Beckham Jr. goes crazy on this Packers defense and torches them for huge gains, we don’t see this Giants team beating Green Bay. Packers are rolling right now, and we think they will continue their winning streak against the Giants. The final score of this match will be 27:20 in favor of the home squad.
