Ram is replacing the ongoing generation of the 1500 model with the brand new one. But before we see the new truck, the company wants to say goodbye to the current generation in style. To do that, the American carmaker created the 2018 Ram Hydro Blue Sport special edition, and as you can probably conclude from the name that this vehicle has blue color all over.
We have seen numerous colors of the Ram 1500 throughout the years some of which are Sublime, Rebel Blue, Copper and Ignition Orange. This Hydro Blue edition is just another one in a row. If you like this model (we do) and want to purchase it, you will get numerous special features as standard. These include a black-colored Sport Performance hood, a body-colored sport grille, black badge letters that spell RAM at the front and flat black exterior body side and tailgate badging.
The Ram 1500 Sport Special Edition will sit on 22-inch aluminum wheels, which are a regular piece of equipment on 4×2 version of the pickup. The polished 20-inch wheels that are standard on 4×4 models are also available if you prefer the smaller ones. As a buyer, you can choose 22-inch gloss black or 20-inch gloss black aluminum wheels. Some of the optional features include black tubular side steps, ParkSense, RamBox storage, chrome side steps that stretch from the front to the back wheel and an Active Level air suspension.
You are probably wondering what it is like inside this blue Ram. The similar color scheme is used for the entire pickup, and there is blue color-matching accent stitching on the instrument panel, doors, and steering wheel. Ram decided to install high-black bucket seats, and they come with Blue Sport embroidery details and mesh inserts, whereas a blue Ram logo is placed on the headrests. Blue is a dominant color on the instrument cluster, door panels, and center console trim, while the black headliner completes the look of the cabin.
Only 2,000 examples of Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport will roll out of the plant, and the starting price of the pickup is $40,060. The car will pack the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine, while it will be introduced at the San Antonio Auto Show that starts on November 9th.
