In this week’s edition of the Smackdown Live, we have seen the long-awaited debut of the New Day on the blue brand. They have been out of the action because of the injury of Kofi Kingston. His ankle was hurt, and he was forced to miss almost two full months of action because of it. Now, he is ready to go and the New Day crew is set to make some noise on the blue brand.
There were questions about whether or not the company should give the belts to The Fashion Police as they are getting over with the fans and they are doing great skits during the show. The Usos were able to defend their titles at the Backlash pay per view, but it seems that the loss didn’t hurt Tyler Breeze and Fandango as they are still very much liked by the crowd.
The main reason why it was logical for The Usos to retain the tag titles is that their feud with the New Day is the biggest possible feud in the tag team division that the company can do going into the summer season. The New Day is now going to be red-hot as they are the returning babyface team. This break that these guys had is just what they needed as they were starting to get stale on Raw.
Before they shipped to Smackdown Live, they were putting over other tag teams on the red brand, which is what they are supposed to do. Now, they are probably going to get a huge push on the blue brand, and their big feud is going to be the one with The Usos, who have been good as the champions. Judging by what we have seen on Tuesday from these two teams, it should be a good feud.
