If, for some reason, aliens decided to land on the Moon, they would find the tracks which the Americans left after their successful Apollo mission. What they wouldn’t find is the American flag which floats in the space. The majority of the US citizens love cars, and some are even obsessed with any kinds of vehicles. The aliens’ tour to the Moon would be remembered by the traces which the lunar rover left.
Meanwhile, the scientists are not that interested in the Moon as much as they have been before and their focus now switches to the Red Planet. Mars is such an intriguing place, and everybody wants to conquer it. This is the next step for mankind and NASA has unveiled a concept vehicle at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
This is the vehicle NASA plans to send to Mars to explore the remote and uncharted territory. One thing is for sure – it will be a great successor to much smaller Opportunity and Spirit rovers which were of absolute importance when we talk about Mars explorations.
This concept has six wheels and aggressive design, and it doesn’t even look as if it comes from the Earth. Another important trait is that the wheels are hollow, while its size is scary to even think about – it is 11 feet tall, 24 feet long and 13 feet wide. The first thing that comes to mind is how they plan to lift the Mars Concept Vehicle and drop it safely on the Mars surface.
Believe it or not, this vehicle is designed by the Parker Brothers, a duo who worked on the futuristic motorcycles in the movie Tron. Looking at the Mars Rover, even in pictures, makes you stand in awe, while the interior is as futuristic and ridiculous as the exterior.
