Wrestlemania is the biggest show that WWE produces every single year. The dream of every wrestler is to be at the grandest stage of them all, making an appearance at Wrestlemania and having that Mania Moment that everybody desires so much. Raising the title at this event is something that the superstars in the WWE work their whole life for. They sacrifice a lot during their career in order to achieve their goals.
Naomi is one of those wrestlers who always dreamed about having her Wrestlemania moment. For this 29-year old superstar had her moment at The Ultimate Thrillride. She won the title in front of her hometown fans. There is no doubt that it was the biggest moment of her career. But, now when she looks back at it, she realizes that she could have easily missed the show. Here is what Naomi had to say about it.
“Yes, it was literally the week before (whether it was a close call),” Naomi said. “And even then it was still a possibility, ‘I don’t know if you want to risk it or give it more time.’ I fought and fought and begged. Just had to really get them to trust me. ‘Trust me, I know my body. I can go, I can do this.’ And it was literally a week before. I for sure thought I wasn’t going to make it.”
She also stated that she tried everything that is in her power to hide the fact that she is hurt, but she just couldn’t perform. If she only had a minor injury, she maybe could have fought through it. But, since it was a true MCL sprain, she knew that she had to wait and try to get ready for the Ultimate Thrillride. Luckily for her, she made it right in time.
