Numerous fans of Mr. Robot have been wondering; ever since its second season finished last year; when its next sequel will come out. The great news is that Season 3 is just around the corner and we have the latest news and everything you want to know about its storyline and release date.
As far as its launch date is concerned, it was posted on the show’s official Twitter account that the series would return for another season, but the exact date was hidden behind a complex cipher. Namely, rabid fans immediately cracked the code and said that it spelled October. Nonetheless, Amazon Prime still hasn’t confirmed anything, so we can take this speculation with a grain of salt.
If we take a look back at the last season, we can say it answered numerous long-lasting questions. Moreover, some other revelations marked the season, such as the one that Tyrell is alive, or what Stage Two is and who’s to blame for it – Mr. Robot, who seems to be Eliot himself.
Throughout the whole season, fans couldn’t’ say for sure whether Tyrell was a figment of Elliot’s imagination, but we learned in the finale about his tangibility. The show’s writer, creator and director Sam Esmail promised that Elliot would survive and stated that the audience should better wonder which side Angela will take in the next season. He also added that Mr. Robot is a three-act story and that he already has a conceived end. Nonetheless, his second act turned out to be a bit longer than he had imagined, so there’s a possibility it might turn into four seasons.
Furthermore, he was asked whether Mr. Robot could be stretched to the fifth season and Esmail didn’t reject this possibility, luckily for its fans, there will be plenty of new episodes and interesting things to look forward to in the future.
