The famous anime series Mr. Pickles premiered in 2014. It was developed by Dave Stewart and Will Carsola, and it is an anime for adults, which makes it rather interesting. However, ever since the second season finished, there hasn’t been any announcement on the renewal of the show for the third season. Namely, the statement on the release of Season 2 was almost a year after first one ended, so they might be waiting for the perfect moment to come.
HotHouse Productions created the series, and it is collaborating with Day by Day Productions on this project. Each season contains 10 episodes, and every one of those lasts approximately about fifteen minutes.
The storyline of the series revolves around the Goodman family. Their 6-year-old son Tommy is introduced to us and his vicious pet named Mr. Pickles. His evil side makes him kill and torture his victims. There are numerous scenes containing violence and offensive language, so the target audience should consist of adults only.
Since there is a restriction in age and because of the way certain events in the story are depicted, it is impossible that the series has a high ranking level. Nonetheless, it has a score of 7.5 out of 10 on IMDB, while the reviews are mostly favorable.
As far as the release date of Season 3 is concerned, there hasn’t been any official announcement yet. Although it’s been a long time since Season 2 finished, nothing has been confirmed yet by the people behind the series. Of course, this doesn’t have to mean there won’t be a Season 3, it might be just that they are still thinking about what to do next and in which direction the show should go. What is certain is that the fans of the series are eagerly waiting to see where the sequel and its main characters will take them and they are looking forward to it.
