We are at the halfway point of the NFL season. At this point, we know which teams are for real and can be considered as top spot contenders. We also know who’s season is already over and is already looking at the 2017 NFL Draft. Let’s take a look at who is going to win each division in AFC.
AFC EAST: New England Patriots – This one is a no-brainer. Patriots look like the best team in the NFL. Home field advantage is always a good thing to have so this Patriots squad will go all-out the rest of the way in order to acquire it. Bills might make it as a wild-card team, but they have a lot of work to do.
AFC NORTH: Pittsburgh Steelers – Big Ben is questionable for Sunday. He will be back eventually to lead this team to yet another postseason appearance. No other squad in this division is playing on a consistent level. There is no way that Baltimore is making the playoffs while the Bengals still have a shot to do so.
AFC SOUTH: Tennessee Titans – This one is a shocker. Teams in this division are just hard to predict, but we are going with Marcus Mariota. Texans and Colts have a lot of problems and are way too inconsistent for our taste. Tennessee will surprise everybody.
AFC WEST: Denver Broncos – We are not going to bet against the Broncos and their defense. Even though they have slipped up a bit, this team should be able to get it done. Raiders and Chiefs are also major contenders in this playoff race. This will be the most fun division to watch going forward.
These are our picks for division winners. Wild-card will for sure come out of the AFC West, but we’ll see if Bengals or maybe the Bills can sneak into the playoffs with a late-season surge.
