Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is finally ready to unveil the much talked about Window 10 that it believes will go a long way in re-establishing its line of Windows, in the fast growing Mobile age. In attendance for the big event is a bunch of reporters who are to give a verdict on the whether the platform will be a hit or a flop on its official unveiling later in the year.
Probable Additions
New Changes are poised to make it into the new operating system to compliment additions first seen in Windows 8 such as the touch-first interface. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) will reportedly embed the touch-first interface in Windows 10; of benefit to people using a tablet or a touch screen PC.
Regular PC users will, on the other hand, have to cope with the more traditional Windows desktop setup.
Microsoft is already ramping support for the new platform stating it is a single operating system poised to run smoothly on all kinds of devices. This is unlikely to be the case especially when running on small tablets and phones compared to PC’s.
New Browser on offer
The company’s statement seems to imply that developers will not have to worry as any application they create will run smoothly on the operating system. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is also affirming that there will be a single store that works across all platforms; this essentially means that once an app is purchased it will be downloadable on a number of different devices on the same platform.
It awaits to be seen if Microsoft will go forth and unveil a new browser to replace the current Internet Explorer, as well as the integration of the company’s smart assistant Cortana. Business Insider reports that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) may go forth and unveil a touch version of Office similar to the one released for iPads.
