Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is offering new Windows Lumia1020 or Lumia 1520 in exchange of iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and Galaxy S2. Earlier this week, the software giant, offered its customers a deal of buying their tablet and smartphones for up to $250. At that time, there were a lot of speculations that the company would make it more attractive by launching some device specific deals.
Eligibility Conditions
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has made available this deal until March 2, 2014 or “while supplies last.” There are also some important cautions attached with the offer. To be eligible for replacement, the product must be switched on and be functional. There should not be any broken or missing components, cracked display/housing or liquid damage. There should be no password protection and include original chargers/accessories. To get maximum exchange benefit, a user needs to purchase “Nokia Lumia 1020 or Nokia Lumia 1520 with a qualifying new or renewal mobile contract or upgrade (2 years) at the same time. Any appraised value will be determined at trade-in and provided as store credit, subject to Microsoft’s discretion and approval. All trade-ins are final,” reads the offer.
The deal is not valid on the prior orders or purchases, and also cannot be transferred or otherwise redeemed for cash or gift cards. “Not combinable with other offers. Discount does not include taxes, shipping or other fees. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Microsoft reserves the right to modify or discontinue offers at any time.”
Similar deals on Gaming Consoles and Tablets
If the user has an old device then it can be replaced for the latest Lumia device or some in-store credit. The exchange offer is limited only to US and Canada. Microsoft has adopted a smart strategy undoubtedly, but the stores are limited.
Similar to the Lumia deal, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) also offered to exchange iPad upto $200 for the purchase of surface tablet stretching the deal to iPhone, BlackBerry devices, as well as, Android phones and tablets. In gaming consoles also the company is buying PS3, Xbox 360 E for $100 of Microsoft retail store credit.
Just like the Lumia deal, on consoles, as well as, tablets there are few eligibility conditions. Again the offer was only applicable in Canada or United States retail store.
