After Schumacher had a skiing accident three years ago he suffered a lot of devastating injuries. His lawyer revealed how serious those injuries have been.
The Schumacher family is suing a German magazine Bunte, which published that Michael, could walk again. The dispute takes place in a court in Germany and the family is represented by the lawyer Felix Damm who claims that he is still unable to stand up.
This legendary Formula 1 driver injured while skiing in the Alps in 2013. Before the injury, he won the world championship seven times.
In the Grenoble Hospital, where he was transported immediately, doctors saved his life with two surgeries, but he ended up in a coma.
Damm stated that Schumacher couldn’t walk. Unfortunately, he couldn’t even stand up straight with the help offered by therapists. The suit should end in October and the only thing the family demand and the reason why they are in court is the privacy of the driver.
According to the magazine, Michael friend said:”Michael is very thin. But he can once again walk a little with the help of his therapists. He manages to make a couple of steps. And he can also raise an arm.”
In December, however, Schumacher’s manager Sabine Kehm stated:”Such speculation is irresponsible, because, given the seriousness of his injuries, his privacy is very important for Michael. Unfortunately, they also give false hopes to many involved people.”
Former Ferrari chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo said that Schumacher reacted to treatment and that whoever claimed that his state is getting worse didn’t tell the truth. He told the Ecumenical News:”I’m very pleased to know that he is reacting. I know how strong he is. I’m sure that thanks to his determination; which will be crucial, he will come out from this very, very difficult situation.”
Di Montezalemo won five consecutive titles at the beginning of the 21st century which were the glory days for Ferrari.
