Two electric motors that are integrated into the car and they produce 402 hp (300 kW) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. The car contains 70-kWh lithium battery that enables a car to cross 500 km per one charge. Due to lack of information, it hasn’t been known how much time it takes to recharge the battery to 100 percent.
The name EQ stands for “Electric Intelligence”. It consists of a capital ‘e’ and the interesting thing is if you rotate ‘q’ you will get a power button.
The CEO of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, Dr. Dieter Zetsche said:” The mobility of the future at Mercedes-Benz will stand on four pillars: Connected, Autonomous, Shared andElectric. ‘Generation EQ’ is the logical fusion of all four pillars. The emission-free automobile is the future. And our new EQ brand goes far beyond electric vehicles. EQ stands for a comprehensive electric ecosystem of services, technologies and innovations.”
Mercedes-Benz decided to use the mixture of steel, aluminum and carbon fiber which makes the car lighter and cost effective. Moreover, instrument panels and light bars acquire different colors depending on driver’s current mood.
