Dwayne Johnson earns a lot of money, everyone knows that. He is the second highest-paid actor, but he is also the fifth highest-paid celebrity. In a year, between June 2017 and June 2018, Johnson’s earnings were $124 million before taxes, which means that he doubled his income compared to a year before.
According to Forbes, that creates these lists, the only actor who raked in more money than Johnson was George Clooney, who sold one of his companies that helped him earn $239 million. If we neglect this and focus only on acting-related income, The Rock’s is “the largest ever recorded in the 20 years Forbes has tracked the Celebrity 100,” the site notes.
Films that helped Johnson be this prosperous are Baywatch, Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, but his HBO series called Ballers is also quite lucrative. The show returned on Sunday, August 12.
According to Variety, Dwayne Johnson earns $650,000 per one episode, which makes him one of the highest-paid TV starts as well. He will still have to work hard to pass the five original cast members of The Big Bang Theory who made $900,000 per one episode.
But we don’t doubt that Dwayne can do that since his work ethic is famous around the world. Alvin Streeter, Johnson’s stand-in for several movies, said: “He’s grinding every day.” He also added: “There’s an intensity when you’re working around him and you can see it and feel it in the air. He’s going 150 miles an hour every day.”
