In just a couple of days, Matt Ryan will step onto the field for the 19th time this season. He has played in a lot of games since he was drafted as a high first-round pick, but none of those duels compare to the match that he gets to play on a Sunday night. It’s the biggest stage in all of the football, and he will be on that stage for the first time in his career.
On the other hand, the opposing quarterback has already played in six Super Bowls and has won four of those. He knows what it’s like and how the job gets done. But, he does have two Super Bowl losses on his resume. Brady lost twice to one team and one man in the most important match of the season. He is the one that has given the advice to Matt Ryan. If someone knows how to beat the Patriots, it’s Eli Manning.
“I received text messages from Eli, and obviously I’ve gotten to know Eli throughout the years, and he’s a great guy,” Ryan said, via the New York Post. “I think his advice was ‘You guys know yourselves, and you know what you do’. And at the end of the day, that’s probably some of the best advice you can get is to trust what we do and trust out process and who we are and how we do things. And I think we’ll be ready to go.”
Matt Ryan is the leader of that Falcons offense that has been borderline unstoppable all season long. They made huge statements against the Packers and the Seahawks. Falcons are to be respected and feared by any team and any player. If Patriots don’t bring their A-game, they’ll find themselves in big trouble.
