We all got used to Mario games introducing mini-revolutions to our gaming worlds. I mean, it all basically started with Mario back in the day. Now, some 20 years later Mario is exploring an uncharted territory again. The new title is dubbed the weirdest one yet. It is a crossover with Raving Rabbids from Ubisoft.
This game will mix the Mushroom Kingdom hero with a nasty crew of bunnies who will all have laser guns set to go after our beloved Mario. It was revealed at E3 2017, and our first impression was that it is going to be awesome. We brought to you tons of photos, screenshots and gameplay. Oh yes, and a release date!
Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle Release Date and Price
Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle will be available on August 29, 2017, on Nintendo Switch. And guess what, it will be a Switch exclusive. If you are interested, you can preorder it now if you want to get a copy on a launch day. It will cost you $59.99 (Amazon), and you will have a guarantee of the pre-order price.
However, if you want to have a Collector’s Edition, you’ll have to buy it somewhere else. The Collector’s Edition includes a Rabbid Mario figurine, 12 collector’s cards and a soundtrack. In the UK you can have it for £84.99 from Game or for $99.99 from GameStop in the US.
When it comes to gameplay, we will be able to see Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi. They’ll team up with four Rabbids that are dressed as each of them. All armed with laser guns with unique personalities and ready to kick some a*s.
This game will feature four worlds, and it will be all about turn-based combat. You will have the option to choose between 250 different upgradable weapons, special moves and there will also be a huge variety of enemy types and bosses.
Some claim that it is similar to XCOM or Final Fantasy Tactics when it comes to combat, so you’ll have to think out your every move, strategy and find that special formula to win. Two player co-op challenges with three separate difficulty levels will be the essence of the campaign which should last about 20 hours.
