Everybody was glad to see the Hardy Boyz back at Wrestlemania 33 as they returned after being gone for over eight years. They were the fourth participant in the tag team championship match at the grandest stage of them all. It was one of the best moments of the show, probably even the highlight of the event itself.
Even though people were so excited to watch them wrestle in the WWE again, something was missing. They weren’t in their broken gimmicks that made them so popular in the past year on TNA and on all of the Indy scene. There is no doubt that they lit the wrestling world on fire with this gimmick, so that’s why the people were a bit disappointed that they weren’t broken in the WWE.
Right now, the company is talking with TNA wrestling about buying out the rights for this gimmick so Matt Hardy can return to being broken with Jeff Hardy as Brother Nero by his side. It looks like the WWE wants them to use this shtick as it was so successful when they were not with the company. It is easily marketable, the people love it and are calling for it which makes this a huge moneymaking opportunity for all parties involved in this deal.
Sooner or later, we are going to see Broken Matt Hardy and Brother Nero in the WWE. If the buyout is reached and the organization has the right to use Broken Hardys, it is going to be interesting to see how they are going to fit the storyline in order to turn them into their popular gimmick.
