1312 – The Lebanese loop scam

This scam is an old school one. Scammers will physically get hold of your card by placing a loop of tape at the ATM and catch all the cards that were inserted, leaving you to think that the machine simply swallowed it. The clever ones out there might have obtained your PIN as well and used to bleed the card dry. Watch yourself for everything and anything, and double check all that you do, just in case.
