Lilly Singh is a Canadian YouTuber, comedian, and actress, better known as ||Superwoman||. She was listed 10th on the Forbes list of the highest paid YouTubers in 2017, earning up to $10.5 million and in 2017 she was ranked first on the Forbes Top influencers List in the entertainment category. She was also featured in the yearly YouTube Rewind video every year since 2014. She is a recipient of a lot of rewards, including an MTV Fandom Award, two Teen Choice Awards, a People’s Choice Award, as well as four Streamy Awards.
Career
YouTube – Lilly started a YouTube channel under the name “||Superwoman||” in late 2010. She explains that the inspiration for her YouTube name Superwoman was taken from a childhood memory that she had an invisible “S” on her chest, making her think that she can do anything she wants. The Punjabi culture is often shown in her videos, which usually have a take on people’s everyday lives and our favorite complaints. With her position as a Goodwill ambassador, she was able to create “GirlLove” Rafiki bracelets with the brand “ME to WE”, and with this helped thousands of girls to gain education across Kenya and India.
