King James is arguably one of the best basketball players of all time, and he used one opportunity to troll Dwayne Johnson. A few days ago while the Cavaliers were in Orlando, they had a few days to rest and run around, and they decided to go shopping.
Just prior to that they lost the game against Celtics 102-88 and needed some time to relax before the clash against Magic on Sunday. LeBron James and a few other stars of the team went to The Mall at Millenia and just like it is always the case with athletes and celebrities of their caliber, they were immediately noticed and attracted a lot of attention.
LeBron noticed that one fan is following their every step and in whichever store they went this guy was waiting for them in front and going to the next one. What attracted the most attention is how this kid was dressed, and famous basketball player decided to take a photo of him that he, later on, shared on Instagram.
Without a doubt, this fan received an insane amount of attention and was an instant star on the social media. Interestingly, it was noted by James that he reminded him of The Rock and his iconic picture. He used this opportunity to troll Dwayne Jonhson by saying: “Hey @therock! Why was your high school self following me in the mall from store to store the other day?!?! Hot tub time machine?? If so let me use it too so I can go back to high school myself. Back to the best time of my life.”
We are used to seeing Johnson trolling other people but this time it was he who was the target, and we need to say that LeBron did it quite nicely. Just like always, Dwayne didn’t get mad and accepted this joke very well. Soon afterward he decided to respond to King James with an Instagram post where he wrote: “😂 My response to @kingjames since he now knows I possess a Hot Tub Time Machine. Man I was patiently waiting for you to finish shopping because WE GOTTA GO BACK TO HIGH SCHOOL in my time machine. First we go back to St Vincent High in Akron so I can watch you be a bad ass as arguably the greatest high school prospect of all time – loved and adored by everyone.”
He continued by adding “Then we go back to McGavok High in Nashville (when I was 15 we moved from Hawaii to Nashville) where I was hanging out in dive bars and buying stolen cars from crackheads. True story. I had no friends in high school because all the kids thought I was an undercover cop and didn’t talk to me, because I looked like I was 47yrs old. Another true story. Together we go back to our high schools so you can enjoy the best time of your life and then we go back to my high school so I can stay outta dive bars and just find one good friend. I will continue to stand outside here waiting for you in my cool, all black outfit with wearing my chains til you’re done shopping. ~ High School Rock.”
