There is no doubt about the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers are traveling to the Foxborough as the underdogs in their matchup with the Patriots. New England has been the best team in the AFC all year long, but Steelers are not to be underestimated and could win this game if they do the following things.
First of all, they need to score more points than they did against the Kansas City Chiefs. They had four trips to the red zone in that match but failed to score a single touchdown. Steelers ended up with six field goals and only 18 points. That was enough to beat the Chiefs as they have been unable to score more than 17 points in their three straight home duels.
When you go to Foxborough to face New England at Gillette Stadium, you need to put up a lot of points on the board as you for sure won’t be able to slow down Tom Brady completely. The best you can do is to play the similar style like the Texans showed a week ago. Still, the Patriots were able to score 34 points in that game.
Steelers offense is just not as good when they are playing on the road as they are when having the home field advantage. They will need to be much better on Sunday, and it starts with the running game. Le’Veon Bell needs to get those tough yards on the ground in order to keep the clock running.
It’s going to come down to what Antonio Brown does as Bill Belichick will try to keep him at bay. You know that Belichick has been watching those games in which Brown struggled and has studied what his players need to do in order to stop that guy. AB has been good against the Pats, but he needs to be great on Sunday if the Steelers want to put enough points and try to beat New England.
