The title reign that Jinder Mahal has had this summer and late spring after the Wrestlemania was really not an exciting time for the Smackdown Live fans. Yes, this guy has a look, and he is that anti-American heel that McMahon wanted on top, on the blue brand. After he fended off all the challenges from the Viper, Randy Orton, he is going to go up against Shinsuke Nakamura.
Japanese superstar has been one of the biggest attractions in the NXT. Even though he is good on Smackdown Live, it seems that he has not been booked as that special attraction that he was down in the NXT. Maybe it is the title that he needs around his waist in order for the writers not to include him in basic segments and make his every single showing on the blue brand to be a big deal.
He has beaten John Cena clean, which was a good decision as he needs to look good. But, that will be worthless if he loses here to Jinder Mahal, a guy that is still not believable as a champion in the eyes of many fans. That would make him look really bad.
Because of that, we see two things happening here. In both cases, Jinder Mahal is getting pinned and is losing his title. In the first case, Nakamura just flat out beats Jinder Mahal clean. On the other hand, there is a chance that we might see a cash in from Baron Corbin, especially if he loses to John Cena. If this man beats him, he might not show up in the main event. But, if he loses, the WWE title match becomes more interesting. At the end of the day, we are going to pick Nakamura to win this duel, and that certainly is the right decision.
