There is no doubt that bad weekend is behind Ezekiel Elliot who has been under the investigation that NFL is conducting as they are looking into the situation where Zeke was involved in the domestic violence. Even though charges were dropped, the NFL is still trying to decide whether or not Zeke should sit for a game or two at the start of the 2017 NFL season.
He was also involved in an altercation at the Dallas Bar this Sunday night. Initial reports were saying that he was even directly involved in a fight that happened at the site of the scene. Later on, it was confirmed that there are witnesses that said Elliot was not the one throwing punches as the guy that stated that was really close to him, trying to take a selfie with the Dallas Cowboys’ star running back.
Today, team owner Jerry Jones has talked to the media and said that he spoke with his star player about all the things that have happened over the past couple of days.
“I don’t want to speculate about any decisions from the league or any potential injury or lack of having a player available,” Jones stated. “Availability is a key. Ability is a key. But availability is a key, and we really do plan, personnel-wise, we plan for a player not being available. That’s just part of our DNA.”
This feels like Jerry Jones thinks that Elliot will have to miss some time because of his actions in the past. First, he was saying that Elliot is not going to miss any time, but it looks like he changed his mind and that the team expects him not to be available for the opener against the Giants.
