The 1996 Diablo has been put on sale for $726,600 (£549,995).
Jay Kay, the lead singer of Jamiroquai and a known car lover always grew a passion for classic Italian sports cars. And as almost every rich and famous car lover, he has a collection. Besides this Lambo (which is on sale) he also has an original Lamborghini Miura SV and a one-off Ferrari 330 shooting brake. Hypothetically speaking, you can buy this Lambo yourself now.
This is one of two identical Lambos featured in a 1996 hit ‘Cosmic Girl‘, it is a viola-metallic colored Lamborghini Diablo. And it is available on AutoTrader U.K. for £549,995 (or about $726,600 at today’s exchange rates). To make thing even more interesting this car is one of just 150 cars of the SE30 series. To be precise, this one is number 142 and it is one of just 16 with right-hand drive. Every Lamborghini Diablo SE30 celebrates the brand’s 30th anniversary and features a unique set of visual details.
This beauty runs on a 5.7-liter V12 which will give you 525hp (391 kilowatt’s) and 580 Newton-meters (427 pound-feet) of torque. Its top speed is 207mph (333 kilometers per hour) and it can go from 0 to 60mph in 4 seconds. Jay’s Lambo is in exemplary condition and it has only driven 17,266 miles (27,786 kilometers).
When it comes to the interior it is coated with blue suede finish with carbon fiber trimming and it has new sport bucket seats with a carbon fiber back to boot. Wheels are 18-inch magnesium and there are no scratches whatsoever. Electronics all work perfectly.
Even though £549,995 is a hefty amount of money to spend we believe that someone will pop up and take away this stunning piece of Italian car industry. On the other hand, nowadays you can get yourself a brand new Aventador S for $402,995. That fact stands but the Aventador doesn’t bring a unique history with it like this Viola Purple Diablo.
This Lamborghini Diablo is just one of many used Lambos that are celebrity owned and up for sale recently. We all remember George Foreman’s red Diablo that was on sale in 2016 and President Trump’s blue Diablo that was sold only a few months after Foreman’s.
