Jacqueline Bisset who played in Joan of Arc and Dancing on the Edge has been cast in the upcoming romantic drama Best Day of My Life which is going to feature Sarah Jessica Parker, according to Variety. Bisset is going to play the role of Parker’s mother. Besides these two successful actresses, Renee Zellweger (Bridget Jones’s Diary), Common (Now You See Me), Isabella Rossellini (Blue Velvet), Taylor Kinney (The Other Woman), Gus Birney (The Mist) and Simon Baker (The Devil Wears Prada) are going to join the cast.
Best Day of My Life revolves around a jazz vocalist played by Parker in New York City who is getting ready for a world tour. However, she finds out that she suffers from a terrible illness while her mother is coming for a visit for the weekend. The problem is that Bisset mostly speaks French and it will be interesting to see this duo on the set.
Fabien Constant is going to direct this movie while Laura Eason will write a screenplay. Sarah Jessica Parker is going to produce a movie together with Ambi Group’s Andrea Ievolino, Monica Bacardi and Alison Benson. Phil Hunt and Compton Ross of Head Gear Films are the executive producers.
Jacqueline Bisset was nominated for an Emmy Award for her role in Joan of Arc, but she won a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in Dancing on the Edge. You could have watch Bisset in movies such as Day for Night and Murder on the Orient Express.
