As we just found out the season 4 of iZombie is actually happening. The CW decided to play nice and please all of the fans of the show with this excellent move.
As most of you, at least ones who follow the series, know is that iZombie is about an undead morgue attendant who is able to assume the personality of whichever brain she is eating and uses it to solve murders. Even this might not sound all that attractive, this is one of the most delightful shows on television lately. There is nothing strange about this because the guy behind this TV show, Rob Thomas, is also the man who is behind the cult favorite Veronica Mars. Rob developed the series together with Diane Ruggiero-Wright. The show is also a loose adaption of the same name comic book series created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, and published by DC Comics under their Vertigo imprint.
To be honest, despite the fact that this show is pretty awesome, it received modest ratings, but nevertheless, it got renewed for season 4, probably as a try to pick itself from a rating drop that happened in season 3. Its current rating is 0.3, and it has around 905,000 viewers per episode which is nearly 30% drop from season 2. Not good, not good at all. But we will hope that the directors have something extraordinary prepared for the new season in order to pick the show up from the dust. Since the season 4 is happening one more thing is to be happily expected, and that is the fact that we will again see the great cast from the series which is very likely the most charismatic and entertaining group on TV.
Since we are on the subject of the cast, so far it is unclear whether all of them will make a return for the sequel or some may be killed off until the third season is over. So far the crew has been consisting of Rose McIver who top-lines the series, as well as Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley, David Anders, and Aly Michalka.
Besides the iZombie, the CW also renewed the show The Originals meaning they have renewed all their returning series, but they have canceled some of the freshman ones like No Tomorrow and Frequency earlier this week.
