Goff had a good game against the Saints on Sunday, but can he really make the impact against Pats?
We think he will as Patriots‘ defense has struggled in recent games. They are bending a lot, but in the end, they are not breaking. We don’t think Rams can win this duel, but we don’t think that it’s because of this offense. The defense is their strong suit, and yet they have given up 49 points on Sunday. Can they really stop this Patriots offense?
Most likely not. Brady is finding new weapons this season. Chris Hogan is now his favorite target when they need and want to go deep, while Mitchell has emerged as a big target in the red zone. When you add Gronk, Bennett, Edelman, White, Blount, and Lewis to that, you have one of the best receiving core and most versatile running game.
When we look at all of those guys and the weapons that Brady has, we just can’t pick the Rams to win this game on the road. We have to pick New England to take this one 35:20. But even in a loss, Jared Goff will look good again.
