The Rock hasn’t appeared on WWE TV in a long time now and hasn’t really wrestled at Mania since his second match with John Cena. It is crazy to think that he is going to fight again anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean that he is going to miss every single Wrestlemania like he did last year. The company is always going to talk to him about possible involvement. That is going to happen every single year.
There were reports that John Cena was really angry about The Rock being at Wrestlemania because WWE was willing to promote his movie Rampage if he were to show up in order to make up for the missed promo dates. If he appears at Mania, it means that he is not doing his job promoting the movie in Europe. The company didn’t do that for Cena, which made him angry, but they are more than willing to do that for The Rock.
There has been a lot of speculation about whether or not The Rock is making an appearance at Wrestlemania 34. Bryan Alvarez of the F4Online.com recently discussed the chances of The Great One coming to the grandest stage of them all during the Wrestling ObserverLive. Here is what he had to say:
“Well, you’re not advertising The Rock being there so there would be no reason, you could put him in there if you wanted to (…) I do think that The Rock is going to be at Wrestlemania. I think The Rock and Elias are going to do a segment together and they’re going to do a concert.”
He added that The Rock is not going to get cleared to wrestle, which is understandable, but that he is likely going to be allowed to be at Wrestlemania 34.
