Huawei is one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world. The latest gadget they produced was Huawei P9 which boasted terrific features and looking at what competition had to offer it was a rather cheap phone. According to the company’s marketing director, the Huawei P10 development will soon become a primary goal.
Huawei P10 Design and Screen
We have the photo of the prototype, but, we are not sure about the design, because it hasn’t been finalized yet. To be honest, we do not expect that there will not be some major changes in this segment.
Source:gsmarena.comDespite that, we believe that the fingerprint scanner, which is located at the back of the P9, will move to the front on the P10. The recently announced Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design also got the front fingerprint scanner, which also made us believe that it will be changed for the new flagship.
Moreover, the lower antenna band will be repositioned and instead of running straight along the back of the smartphone, like it is the case with P9, it will go along the bottom edge.
In order to compete with the rivals, the Huawei P10 will have a 1440×2560 screen. Rumor has it that it will be 5.5 inches in diagonal, which is a slightly bigger than the one on the ongoing device.
Camera and Battery
Since the dual-lens camera has been one of the best features on the P9, it is expected that it will reaper on the new model. A rear camera will have 12MP, whereas the front snapper will come with 8MP sensor. On the leaked photos a dual camera is clearly seen, and dual-LED flash there to support it. However, we expect new unit to produce higher quality images and videos and some of the aspects to be improved, but currently, we don’t know what the update will bring.
Speaking of the battery, the P9 is equipped with a 3000 mAh one. On the other hand, the Mate 9 has a 4000 mAh unit. We guess that the capacity of the P10 will be somewhere in between while the fast charging will also be possible.
Operating System and Power
A Kirin 960 processor should find its way in the new smartphone as the octa-core chip can be found in Mate 9. There will be two versions, with 6 GB and 4 GB of RAM – both options are going to be offered. According to some leaks, the 64 GB of internal storage will be combined with 4 GB device, whereas the 6 GB of RAM will come with 128 GB. Some other leaks say that 256 GB version is also in plans. For this flagship, Chinese tech giant is planning Android Nougat OS as it is the latest that Google has to offer.
Huawei P10 Release Date
Since all we have are the rumors and nothing has been officially confirmed, we are going to guess the release date. Considering that the last smartphone came out in April this year, we expect that the new model will be launched in April 2017. We like to believe that it will be launched next year since it is not logical for the company to wait any longer.
Price of new Huawei P10
The Huawei P9 is priced at $530 meaning that you can expect a model which will be more expensive than the P9, but not by much. So our guess is $600 price tag or even slightly lower.
