Green Bay Packers vs. Atlanta Falcons – NFC Championship Game Picks And Predictions

Source:matchforecaster.com

Atlanta Falcons made a late-season surge to put themselves in the second seed in the NFC. Because of that, they were able to play at home against the Seattle Seahawks, and they now get to host the NFC Championship game. Green Bay Packers’ red-hot offense is coming to town, and this contest against Aaron Rodgers will be much more difficult than the one against the Seattle Seahawks.

Aaron Rodgers had a great game against the Cowboys. His offensive line gave him enough time to make plays, and he took advantage of that. His receivers stepped up when they needed to do the most, in a duel in which the Packers were without their number one option, Jordy Nelson. Those are the good news for Green Bay. The bad news is the fact that Jordy Nelson likely won’t be available for coach McCarthy in Atlanta.

All the powers of Falcons offense were on display against the Seahawks. A dual-headed running attack was in full force while two tall receivers Julio and Sanu proved to be too much to handle even for a good defense like the ‘Hawks one. This offense has been great all season long, and they will be a tough matchup for the Green Bay defense.

Both of these squads have pretty shaky d-lines, with some decent pass rushers, but questionable secondary. We have seen what the Dallas Cowboys offense was able to do to the Packers back four. Even though Aaron Rodgers is great and will be able to put up some points on the board, we just don’t see how they will be able to stop Matty Ice, Julio Jones, and that dual-headed running back attack with Freeman and Coleman.

In the end, we are picking Atlanta Falcons to beat the Green Bay Packers 33:27 and advance to the Super Bowl in Houston to face off with the New England Patriots.
