There is no doubt about the fact that Green Bay Packers have failed to meet the expectations this season. They were hyped up to be one of the best teams in the NFL before the start, but right now, they are average at best and on the verge of losing the ground to the Lions and Vikings.
At 4-6, they need to win almost every game in order to make the Playoffs. Their quarterback stated that he thinks this team can win out and run the table for the rest of the season. Can this team actually do this?
If they do, it’s their offense that will take all the credit. This Packers’ defense is one of the worst in the NFL. They have allowed over 40 points in consecutive games while they are giving up over 30 points to opposing offenses almost on a consistent basis.
Philadephia Eagles are on their schedule next. It’s a Monday Night Football game that is winnable for this team. Texans, Seahawks, Bears, and Vikings are still on their schedule. When you look at it, it’s a pretty good schedule for the Pack, but they need to perform at top level.
Besides the Seahawks, this schedule is not tough at all. If they can get on a roll against Philly and Texans, Green Bay just might be able to knock off Seattle.
It’s a bit crazy to think that this squad, with this defense, can run the table for the rest of the season. But, when you take a look at their remaining opponents, that really isn’t a fantasy. If someone can do it, Aaron Rodgers can, and that will be one very interesting journey.
