Google is expected to launch Daydream, Google Home, 4K Chromecast and Pixel phones all in one day

Alphabet, Google’s parent company has always moved in the right direction and big changes are being rung over at the company. Rumors swirling around indicate that the search giant has removed the Project Ara modular phone, and a bunch of the Nest employees are now making the move to Google.

Fiber executives have also been told to make moves by laying of some workers and operate on a stricter budget. However there is some good news coming out from the Google camp as they announced a new group of products such as the Google Home and DayDream which are being rumored that they will be launched on October 4.

The Google Nexus project was launched back in 2010 and it started with the Nexus One, which at the time was manufactured by HTC. The Nexus product was supposed to offer pure Android products and fast updates, something which Google tried to maintain. Google then produced the Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7, Nexus 9 and their most recent offering the Nexus 5X and 6P.

It’s also good to note that since starting the project with HTC, the search giant has also earmarked HTC for their next project. Reports indicated that the two Google phones which are scheduled for launch in October would actually be manufactured by the Taiwanese based company and they will have new names.

The products will be called the Pixel and the Pixel XL. The Pixel line started in 2013 with the Chromebook Pixel. The search giant then made a 2015 refresh of the same product, before eventually deciding on leaving the products. They did, however, release the first mobile Pixel device in 2015 called the Android Pixel tablet.

Google has been reorganizing the hardware division under the former Motorola CEO, Rick Osterloh and the rumors which surround the Pixel and Pixel XL platforms are an indication that the company might be looking to tie up all its hardware components into one thing.

A major hardware event is being expected for the 4th of October and Google is expected to announce the new Pixel devices which are going to be the highlight. However, Google is also expected to announce news about the Google Home and the Daydream VR headset, and also another 4K Chromecast. Google had already offered users a refresh of the chromecast, when they released the Chromecast Audio last year. Another refresh might be on the books for this year according to reports. The new device will probably be called the Chromecast Ultra or the Chromecast Plus, and it is widely expected that its main draw is going to be the 4K feature it has.

Google also has plans to announce the DayDream feature, the virtual reality platform used for Android. Google also has plans to build its headset, (if they have not already started), and they will offer a reference design to manufacturers. The company is expected to name the new headset the Daydream View. Another device which brings question is the Google Home device. The device will be powered by Google Assistant, a feature which many have likened to the Amazon Echo feature.

Clearly, a lot is planned for one event, but then again these are all rumors. A Google spokesperson asked for comment refused to answer to any speculation.
