Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt are two of the biggest stars that Smackdown roster currently have. These guys were featured in an interesting programming ever since Randy Orton made his return. Now, with Bray Wyatt as the WWE Champion, they will be the focus of the Smackdown Live episodes on the road to Wrestlemania. The company is doing a fine job with Wyatt’s character, and Randy Orton is doing his part very well.
Wyatt faced John Cena and AJ Styles in a triple threat main event match for the WWE Championship on Smackdown. Wyatt didn’t need Orton’s involvement as he pinned John Cena clean yet again and was able to win the match and retain his title. After the match, Randy Orton came to the ring and pledged his allegiance to Bray Wyatt and said that as a Royal Rumble winner, he refuses to face Bray at the grandest stage of them all.
Later on Talking Smack show GM Daniel Bryan announced that there will be a Battle Royal next week to determine who will be facing Bray Wyatt at Wrestlemania 33. Of course, that man will be Randy Orton, but it will be interesting to see how will the creative writers make Orton screw Bray Wyatt and turn on him. Will there be a winner and then Randy will come to his senses and demand that he is the one that should be facing Bray? Will Orton interfere next week in the Battle Royal?
There are a lot of questions about this, but one thing is certain. This is a nice plot twist and a cliffhanger for fans to tune in next week and watch this interesting storyline continue to develop as Smackdown Live continues it’s road to Wrestlemania.
