Many fans of Star Wars have been delighted upon hearing the news that a Tokyo jewelry store will be selling the Darth Vader mask for 154 million yen ($1.4 million). Namely, the mask is the final product which consists of 24-karat gold and the reason for this amazing offer is the 40th anniversary of the day this amazing movie was first released.
As for the measurements of Dart Vader mask, it is 26.5 centimeters (10.4 inches) wide and 30 centimeters (11.8 inches) high.
However, even if you become the owner of this fascinating mask, it doesn’t mean that you will be able to wear it, as the mask has not been designed for wearing. It weighs about 15 kilograms (33 pounds), and the hole for the head hasn’t been made.
Currently, this mask is the most expensive possession of the jewelry, but in the past, they also had products that reached the insane heights. So, for example, the price of a Disney Christmas tree was worth 500 million yen ($4.5 million).
Hirotsugu Tsuchiya emphasized the difficulty of making this product by saying that 10 jewelers were working on it for three months.
“The most difficult aspect was that each section of the mask was created by a different gold craftsman and then assembled to make one Darth Vader mask,” Tsuchiya added.
When it comes to the purchase of this mask, those who are interested can buy it at the main store in the glitzy Ginza shopping district. However, they will need to wait three months to get it, from the day the order is made.

The sale of the aforementioned items will begin on May, 4, as “May the fourth” reminds of the movie’s most famous line “May the force be with you.”
