24 Hours of Le Mans is eagerly awaited by millions of fans this summer, a racing event which will be a host to dozens of cars which will race in and out of the night around the clock. However, we unexpectedly found an answer on quite a peculiar question. If a company wants to make a rather low racing class vehicle stand out among others, what should they do? Well, this Corvette brings the answer.
Larbre Competition came up with a special C7.R art vehicle, clothed in a special glow-in-the-dark colors. Yes, that is the answer to our previous question.
This gem was revealed at the Circuit de la Sarthe where it was tested last weekend. This ‘#50 Corvette’ is graffiti-styled when it comes to the paintjob and that is all courtesy of a street artist Ramzi Adek. The final product looks special, and it is quite different from the usual yellow paint that is featured on other competition Corvettes.
Fernando Rees, Christian Philippon, and Romain Brandela will all share driving duties in the LMGTE Am category in the race. The race should start in two weeks. Considering how different this vehicle is and that it certainly set a precedent (at least of some kind) maybe they will have a chance to win too. Class victories at Le Mans and in other sports racing series are quite common for the French team, and their most recent triumph was in 2012 with a class win the Corvette C6.R. We can’t tell you for sure how the vehicle will perform, but we guarantee you that it won’t go unnoticed.
