4He Played in a Lot of Mel Brooks Movies

Wilder is well known to be Brooks’ favorite actor for his movies.
At 26, he changed his name to Gene Wilder and participated in a production of Mother Courage and Her Children. As he was working on a play, Anne Bancroft introduced him to her boyfriend, Mel Brooks. Brooks and Wilder quickly became good friends. He engaged Wilder in The Producers and got an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
Soon enough, Wilder became very famous in Hollywood and later on was cast in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
In one of his statements, Brook said that one of the greatest talents of today is gone. He was a blessing for every movie they made together, and he is lucky to have been his friend. He will truly be missed.
