We know that the plot of the last season will spring from the final two Martin’s novels, yet not completed, The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring. In January this year, George RR Martin published on his website that the fans can expect the last tome to be finished by the end of 2017. Although it seems a bit dubious, his promise suggests that he is definitely approaching the end of his writing process.
