The four writers that have been included in the writing process since the show began, DB Weiss, David Benioff, Dave Hill and Brian Cogman, will also return for the season 8. George RR Martin was a part of the writing process only for the first four seasons, but he won’t be contributing to it now.
Hill will be in charge of the season premiere, Cogman will write the second episode and Benioff and Weiss will take on the four remaining episodes.
