One of the players which is definitely overlooked at the moment, but which has amazing potential, is Randy Gregory. His raw talent is undeniable, and he would have been a top 10 pick had it not been for the issues with the consumption of the illegal substances. Teams passed on him, but the Cowboys landed him at the 60th pick overall.
Dallas risked a lot when they put their trust in Randy, but so far his career has been riddled with suspensions. However, the story of Gregory has not reached an end and the years ahead might prove that he is on the right track to becoming a good NFL player. Whether he would manage to help the Cowboys defense in the upcoming season or not, it remains to be seen. However, Dallas’ head coach should definitely give him a chance.
Let’s not forget that Lawrence also had suspensions in the past, but now he is a fantastic and reliable player. The chemistry between the two might be problematic, but that is up to the coaches to solve. The fact is that Gregory could be the killer on the field.
